ABOUT BULGARIA
Bulgaria is a country situated on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe (in the period between 1946 and 1990 the country was known as People's Republic of Bulgaria). Bulgaria has borders with five countries: to the north the Danube forms the border with Romania, to the south Bulgaria is bordered by Turkey and Greece, and to the west by Serbia and North Macedonia. To the east lies the Black Sea.

The longest river is Iskar. Other important rivers - Maritsa, Struma, and Kamchia.
Climate
Most parts of Bulgaria have a continental climate with cold winters and hot summers and in the south of the country the climate transforms into Mediterranean. The average temperature in May is 20 ° C (68°F), in June and September - 25 ° C (77°F), and in July and August - + 26-28 ° C (78-82°F). The average annual temperature is around 13 ° C (55°F).
