Tsarevo
The town of Tsarevo is located in a small bay, 65 km south of Burgas, near the road E-87. The town is situated on two peninsulas (northern and southern) and has three azure beaches. In 1967 it was declared a seaside resort. There are two exotic camping sites called Bulgarka and Nestinarka in addition to the three beaches in Tsarevo.
The town lies on the international road Burgas - Malko Tarnovo - Kırklareli - Istanbul.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The town is the center of a municipality of the same name which includes 13 settlements: two cities - Tsarevo and Ahtopol, and 11 villages - Sinemorets, Rezovo, Varvara, Brodilovo, Bulgari, Kosti, Kondolovo, Izgrev, Lozenets, Velika, and Fazanovo.
INDUSTRY
The economic development is dictated by the Pasat Company that markets products made of fiberglass (yachts, boats, water bikes, sleds, etc.). The town is situated south of Bourgas, where the biggest port in Bulgaria is located.
TOURISM AND ATTRACTIONS
With its numerous sights (natural, historic, architectural, etc.) the area surrounding the town is one of the most attractive in the Bourgas Province. The unique combination of sea, mountain and rivers, exotic flora and fauna, together with traditions and authentic culture and customs of the Strandzha Mountain provides endless opportunities for tourism - ecotourism, yachting, fishing and more. The famous preserved unique pagan and Christian tradition of dancing on embers in honor of St. Constantine and Helena can be only seen in the village of Bulgari.
The area of the Tsarevo Municipality is known for its historical attractions - the ancient Ahtopol Wall and the Greek School in the town of Ahtopol, the churches "Assumption of the Virgin" in Tsarevo, "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" in Kosti, "St. Panteleimon" in Brodilovo, Thracian ruins and others.
The territory of the Tsarevo Municipality is home of the oldest nature reserve in the country - Silkosia /since 1933/. One of the seven most humid places with continental significance in the country - the Ropotamo-Veleka Complex, is located in the reserve.
CLIMATE
During the summer, the average daytime temperatures range between 24-35oC, and the water temperature reaches 23 to 29oC. Winters in Tsarevo are light giving the opportunity for year-round docking of yachts. All these factors make Tsarevo one of the most preferred places for owners of yachts.
